michael douglas has throat tumor

Actor Michael Douglas has revealed that he's throat tumor and will start radiation and chemotherapy for its treatment.

The 65-year-old actor told via a statement that he's feeling very optimistic about the situation and doctors expect him to make a full recovery after the cancer treatments, which are expected to last eight weeks in total.

News that Michael Douglas has a throat tumor were confirmed by his publicist, who added he's currently outside United States but did not give any more details on where will Douglas start treatment.

The actor, who is married to Catherine Zeta Jones, will be appear on the silver screen this fall on the sequel of the movie that got him and Oscar “Wall Street”; it will called “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.”
