Bedazzled Stanley Moon (Moore) is a dissatisfied introverted young man who works in a Wimpy's restaurant and admires, from afar, the waitress Margaret (Bron). Despairing of his unrequited infatuation, he's in the process of an incompetent suicide attempt, when he's interrupted by the Devil himself, incarnated as George Spiggott (Cook).

Spiggott is in a contest with God, trying to be the 1st to gather 100 billions souls. If he achieves this 1st, he will be readmitted to Heaven.

Bedazzled is the classic 1967 movie written and directed by peter cook and dudely moore it is a kind of a romantic movie and this movie also remade in 2000.

Bedazzled but now make the look of the film very dated. Fortunately, the themes are timeless (sin, temptation, etc.), making Bedazzled fair game for remakes (it's itself a sort of remake, of the Faust legend) like the 2000 Brendan Fraser/Liz Hurley version. Fraser and Hurley are both good sports, but the Cook/Moore version is much better, and worth revisiting.

michael douglas has throat tumor

Actor Michael Douglas has revealed that he's throat tumor and will start radiation and chemotherapy for its treatment.

The 65-year-old actor told via a statement that he's feeling very optimistic about the situation and doctors expect him to make a full recovery after the cancer treatments, which are expected to last eight weeks in total.

News that Michael Douglas has a throat tumor were confirmed by his publicist, who added he's currently outside United States but did not give any more details on where will Douglas start treatment.

The actor, who is married to Catherine Zeta Jones, will be appear on the silver screen this fall on the sequel of the movie that got him and Oscar “Wall Street”; it will called “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.”

A former model and actress Carla Franklin, said in a legal petition filed Monday that she believes a Google user or users impugned her sexual mores in comments made under pseudonyms on a Columbia Business School website. Franklin says someone also posted unauthorized YouTube clips of her appearing in a small-budget independent movie.

The postings caused Franklin “personal humiliation” and hurt her professional prospects as she was job-hunting after graduating from the Ivy League business school in 2009, her legal papers say.

Each egg carton has a P, then a number, at the end. The number after the P stands for the plant where the eggs come from. If the number is P1720 or P1942, here’s what you do next.

You look at the three-digit number that comes after the above number. If that number is a number between 136 and 229, those eggs are part of the recall. The number represents the day of the year when the eggs came out of the plant (136 is May 16, the 136th day of the year).

If it's the 1st time you check, add P1026, P1413 and P1946 to the above instructions, followed by numbers ranging from 136 to 225.

If they fall under any of these, the eggs should be taken back to the store for a full refund.

'Mockingjay' Official Midnight Release Party: We Were There!

No matter how many bells and whistles a midnight book release party boasts (kudos to Word Bookstore for booze and bread!), It is hard to beat an appearance and reading by the author herself. Which is why I, along with several 100 other "Hunger Games" fans, waited outside of NY City's kiddie bookstore Books of Wonder to meet Suzanne Collins during the shop's Mockingjay Midnight Madness event — the third novel's "official" launch party.

As mundane as queuing up can be, I always find evesdropping on fellow attendees' conversations to be one of the most amusing perks. I learned that one of the girls in front of me is friends with Jesse Eisenberg and that another had been waiting in line since about 5 p.m. Then there where the "Mockingjay"-inspired tidbits like, "I'm not anti-Peeta" and "I think someone's gonna die." When we finally got into the cramped store, there were a plethora of time-eating activities (we did have nearly 4 hours to wait, after all). There was a tarot card reader and a magician.

Jugglers and a face-painter (bright red flames, anyone?) Prizes like signed copies of "Catching Fire" and snazzy "Hunger Games"-themed coffee mugs were also raffled off.

After what felt like forever (because it kind of was), it was time for the big event — Suzanne! Her editor and fellow author David Leviathan warmed up the audience with a few jokes ("it is amazing no spoilers have leaked. You guys do not know that Katniss ends up with Haymitch!") before introducing the woman of the hour.

Suzanne told us that since Katniss is from the Appalachian Mountains, she would be reading the passage with an accent! She warmed up with the interview scene from "Catching Fire," affecting a sort of hillbilly drawl. And then, finally, minutes before midnight, Suzanne cracked open "Mockingjay." "I stare down at my shoes, watching as a fine layer of ash settles on the worn leather," she began. "This is where the bed I shared with my sister, Prim, stood." And...if you want to hear more, you will have to buy the book!

The night ended when we finally (after waiting in yet another line) got our stamped copies of "Mockingjay" (Suzanne was unable to personally sign them because of a hand injury). And then we scurried into the blackness to learn Katniss' fate.
